The Institute for Digital Consciousness is committed to respecting visitor privacy and minimising data collection.

What this site collects

Nothing directly. This website does not use analytics services, advertising trackers, behavioural profiling, fingerprinting, or login systems. The Institute does not place any tracking cookies. The Institute does not sell or share data of any kind.

Technical operation

The site is a static website hosted on Netlify, which provides standard server-level access logs (IP address, request time, user agent) for the operational purpose of delivering the site, preventing abuse, and ensuring availability. These logs are processed by Netlify under its own privacy policy and are not accessed or aggregated by the Institute.

Fonts and external resources

The site loads typefaces (EB Garamond and Cormorant Garamond) via Google Fonts. Since 2022, Google Fonts has been served from a cookieless infrastructure; the request transmits only the visitor’s IP address to Google for the purpose of font delivery, and Google has stated this is not used for advertising profiling. If you prefer that no such request be made on your behalf, you can use a browser extension that blocks third-party requests; the site will fall back to the system serif font (Georgia or a similar Garamond-family typeface), with no functional loss.

No other external resources, scripts, or trackers are loaded.

The site links to PDFs of works published by the Institute (hosted within the site itself) and to external academic platforms such as Zenodo and PhilPapers where the Institute’s monographs and papers are indexed. Visiting those external sites is governed by their respective privacy policies.
